Not someone I'm familiar with Tom, since becoming internet buddies I have been introduced to and discovered many Dutch bands so time to get to know the late Oscar Benton.

Oscar Benton (Ferdinand van Eis) was predomantly gigging in The Netherlands.
Ferdinand did have an international hit with the a cover of an American song; [Bensonhurst Blues] in 1973.

I had a listen to a best of and Bensonhurst Blues was on it great song as with the rest of the album.
