Saw in the news that B.J. ( Billy Joe ) Thomas passed away on 29 May at 78 years - another great joining the others in the heavenly choir.
Another day - another song.

One of my very early teenage heroes. I played "I Just Can't Help Believing" until the needle wore its way through to the B side.

RIP Billy Joe.  :vsad:

IP BJ.

BJ became more to me than just the singer of nice songs after I sat by myself in the early hours of the day of my dear old mum's funeral listening to his song "Mama". The power of music to tape into one's emotions was never more apparent to me and I still can't listen to "Mama" without welling up a bit.
Who knows where the time goes (Sandy Denny)
