One of the earliest people to grace the (then) Top 100 pop charts - "Love Is A Golden Ring" (a Frankie Laine cover) was a very early W&G 45rpm release (c. 1957). Had a few low flying 45rpm on RCA - finally 'almost made it' and had a Top 40 charter with the "Hey Paula" duet With Denise Drysdale in the mid 70s . I'll show my age, but the latter evolved from the Tonight Show (shown in Sydney as well as Melbourne) that had the 1950s/1960s as the theme - a show I actually saw!!!
