Quite a few musicians that I've followed for many years have fallen off the perch of late, but Jeff Beck is a big one. His work with The Yardbirds was etched into my brain when I was a kid and I will take it to my grave when my time comes.

 :(

Saw him play back in 1977 at Festival Hall and regrettably missed seeing him play at the Palais in 2009.

One of my absolute favourite guitarists and can't believe he's gone  :(

A very sad day indeed.
