RIP Chrissy Amphlett
« on: Tue 23 Apr 2013 03:26:20 »
Any lover of Aussie 80's music would undoubtedly know the dulcid tones of this magnificent performer, and if you were lucky enough to have seen The Divinyls in concert, you will surely rank that night as one of your favourites.  She lit up the stage, took it over, and presented her music to you in a way that made you feel like she was making love to you and you alone.  She quickly became a legend of Aussie rock with tracks like, 'Science Fiction', 'Pleasure And Pain' and the highly controversial 'I Touch Myself', and will forevermore be remembered as a true Woman Of Rock&Roll.
Christine Joy Amphlett, after suffering the pain of multiple sclerosis since 2007, and breast cancer from 2010, is now lost to the punters far too early, aged 53.  May the Archangel Choir welcome her with open wings... :'(

Might ask some of the regular contributors if they have any Divinyls albums, to please share them here when they get the chance...

No matter how good your music playback system is, it's the quality of sound engineering which determines the listener's enjoyment level.

Amazing amazing and powerful woman.

She could rock harder than most of the blokes on the scene.

Indeed.  The way she was on stage, we all had the hots for her...
