HEAVEN (back after 30 years)
« on: Mon 14 May 2012 19:47:41 »

TWENTY TWELVE tour. + guests. HEAVEN is a heavy rock outfit that has all the hallmarks of the Australian pub rock culture but with international recognition!
This impact internationally was due to hard driving yet melodic songs that captured strong conviction from CBS Records America.

With such notable tours under their belt supporting international acts such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Motley Crue and many others, HEAVEN proved to be formidable arena players.

After 30 years, the rhythm section of Joe Turtur, Laurie Marlow & John Haese are reforming to re-unite with Allan Fryer and Mitch Perry. First time for Perry to be playing with this rhythm section and believes he will finally be playing with the best rhythm section HEAVEN ever had.  Years have gone by and today seems that the fans are still desperate to hear the tunes that rocked back in the 80s. This reformation is now becoming a reality and sees the band about to take on the Music market in an Australian Tour.

In addition to the original members, Mitch Perry will be joining the boys on stage to complete this dynamic line up. Mitchs accolades include Cher Asia Michael Schenker Group and The Edgar Winter group.

All together these 5, not so young men anymore, have decided to give Australia & the rest of the world what it has been wanting to hear for many years. Its hard hitting rock solid sound from the 80s will be transposed to give it a touch of the 2012 era with its hard hitting heavy rock sound.

We sincerely look forward to doing what will be the finest HEAVEN line up and crankin out the tunes that rocked back in the 80s. Along with some new material and a possible new album.

HEAVEN is back and about to kick some serious ass!!!

Allan Fryer: Lead Vocals
John Haese: Rhythm/Slide Guitar
Laurie Marlow: Bass Guitar/Vocals
Mitch Perry: Lead Guitar/Keyboards/Vocals
Joe Turtur: Drums

so ner....  :P

Been there, loved it.

Flew in all the way from Europe, seen last 3 gigs.

Rowan Robertson (ex-Dio, DC4) did a great job filling in for Mitch Perry. What a great guy and guitarist, a true British gentleman. Bummer they didn' t play "Don't Mean Nothin'" at those last three gigs.

Maybe I met some folks from this forum and didn't even know it.
